The Islamic World Youth Forum launched one of its most important projects, which is the Islamic World Youth Academy, to train youth in the Islamic world. The topic of training was one of the most important recommendations that came out of the second forum on 2023, where there was a training workshop. The Academy is interested in raising the level of skill and knowledge of young people in the Islamic world in all work that concerns them, especially with regard to developing youth work.
The academy targets young people in all Islamic countries and Islamic communities, especially young people who are recommended by active and effective youth organizations or institutions in countries of the Islamic world. The programs and training sessions will be announced on the forum’s website and its pages on social media. The leadership of the forum intends for the forum’s programs and projects to include Islamic geography, to be a foundation for building lasting and vital relationships between participants, and a bridge between different youth sectors and increasing their interconnection and cohesion.
As the first of the academy’s training programs with which the academy was launched, the program for qualifying leaders of youth organizations, which aims to qualify young people to lead youth institutions and organizations, whether they are individual or party initiatives. With the announcement of the launch of the program, approximately 1,300 applications for enrollment were submitted, although the target number was 300 members. The program will extend for three months in the form of lectures and sessions with international trainers in the field of managing organizations and institutions, and at the end of the distance program, 60 distinguished trainees will be selected to attend a two-week pre-preparation training camp.
The forum leadership and the academy administration are keen to provide various training packages, whether in the youth organization leadership management program, and a group of training programs that address multiple aspects related to youth and youth organizations.
It is noteworthy that the training academy is one of the major projects for which there were recommendations for work as results of the Second Islamic World Youth Forum. Work is now underway to complete the rest of the recommendations.
