The Islamic World Youth Forum held its meeting in Istanbul in the presence of 360 youth leaders, representing 42 countries. Under the auspices of three institutions of the Jerusalem Youth Association, the Anatolian Youth Association and the Turkish International Youth Forum. The forum aims to unify public understanding about the reality of Islamic work, and transfer experiences the developmental and intellectual youth between the countries of the participating countries, and the launch of a joint effort that enhances Islamic thought and culture and contributes to the development of the Islamic world. The forum was inaugurated in the presence of representatives of a high leadership level, Mr. Metin Yuksel Dincaslan vice President of the Anatolian Youth Association, and President of the International Youth Forum Mr. Yilmaz Balchen. Where the forum was opened by coordinator Dr. Ashraf Awad stated, “The aim of the forum is to unify the general understanding of the nation’s issues, transfer youth field experiences from the participating countries, and launch joint action among all participants, their countries and organizations.” Mr. Dincaslan stressed that the attendance at the forum came to address current issues in a sophisticated youth spirit that is aware of the importance of reality and the ambition of tomorrow. He add that Islamic civilization and youth are the shield of the nation and they follow the path of Muhammad al-Fateh. Whereas the colonial countries with their technology and weapons of destruction are not it can bring world peace and it’s our turn today to unite with each other to challenge Western hegemony. Mr. Yilmaz, head of the Youth Forum, renewed the pledge to support the cause of Jerusalem and Palestine. He stated that Al-Quds is the first function of the pioneers and youth of the Islamic world, and that this forum follows the footsteps of the late, God willing, in gathering and mobilizing the youth of the Islamic world and Muslims in the face of the conspiracies of the enemies of the nation.
Several workshops held during the forum, which discussed various intellectual fields that would create a common understanding for youth leaders. The second day was devoted to presenting youth experiences in different countries, where 28 experiences of various types of youth work were presented.
